Families of LHS Instrumental Music Program:
In response to the concerns regarding coronavirus, we wanted to update you on current and future events.
The Esperanza Jazz Festival and SCSBOA Band and Orchestra Festivals are canceled. The WGASC has canceled the remainder of the Winter Guard season. The Solo/Ensemble Festival and trip to Knott’s Berry Farm have not yet been canceled, but we will keep you informed as soon as we hear anything. We will also inform you of procedure for refunds for Knott’s and Solo/Ensemble in the event that they do not happen.
The LHS Instrumental music program has decided to cancel all after school practices until further notice.
As you can imagine, there has been an influx of emails and phone calls. While we will continue to try our best to keep up, please be patient if it takes a bit longer to get back to you.
Your students are of greatest concern. If you were one of the prepared/lucky ones to obtain wipes, hand sanitizer, or rubbing alcohol, would you mind sparing a small amount for our classroom? As you know, this room is their home away from home and many students are here all the time. We’d like our space to be as clean as possible.
How to stay informed: The boosters will update information on their website as it is sent to them.
www.lakewoodhsmusic.org. They will also send out reminders on the remind app and in emails.
Of course, we will follow all state and school guidelines as we make our decisions.

The boosters want to give a big Thank you, to Mr. Mahan and the stage crew for all of the help and support they have given the band.
