Marching Band (Counts for PE!) Winds, Percussion, and Flags:
All students who play a wind instrument, drums, or piano can be a part of the marching band! We play at football games, rallies, parades, and competitions. There are spring clinics starting April 29th from 4-7pm and summer band camp, so be there and join the fun! Mandatory Parent Information Meeting April 29th at 7:00pm. (If you’re interested in flags, the dates are different. Please contact Mrs. Palmer as well).

It is VERY important that you attend the mandatory clinics and meeting in April and May if you want to be in marching band. If you do not attend, there won’t be a spot for you in our show, and we would all hate to see that! Marching season does not start in the fall, it starts April 29th. Bring water, a hat, a snack, athletic shoes and clothes, and a good attitude and join the fun!

Band 1-2: Our band is a great place to learn about concert band music from a variety of  cultures and time-periods. This class is students who play the flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, bass clarinet, saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium/baritone, or tuba. You
do need some previous experience to be in this class, but whether you’ve played for 1 year or many, this is a great place for you! While no audition is required, if you consider yourself to be a more experienced player, please consider seeing Mrs. Palmer for advanced placement. We play music from all styles and perform in concerts, at festivals, and take a fun trip to Knott’s or Disneyland. If you’ve never played before but wish you had, please contact Mrs. Palmer and we’ll help you get started!

Jazz Band 1-2: Are you a passionate musician who is interested in exploring jazz and popular music styles? Our award-winning jazz
band is by audition only, however, no previous JAZZ experience is required. Contact Mrs. Palmer and schedule your audition today.

Orchestra 1-2: Orchestra is a wonderful class for students who play violin, viola, cello, and bass. If you are an advanced piano player, you may audition for one of the two spots in this ensemble as well. String players do need some previous experience to be in this class, but
whether you’ve played for 1 year or many, this is a great place for you! While no audition is required, if you consider yourself to be a more experienced player, please consider seeing Mrs. Palmer for advanced placement. We play music from all styles and perform in concerts, at
festivals, and take a fun trip to Knott’s or Disneyland.
